The University of The Incarnate Word

UIW Joyce Building
The University has relied on us to retrofit some existing controls for more efficient and manageable operation of their classrooms, labs and lecture hall at the Joyce Building with 23 VVT zones and 4 RTU's. Return on investment (ROI) estimated at four to five years.
UIW Agnese Building
New additions to the sixth floor were accomplished summer of 2012. System consists of DX split systems serving multiple offices. In the summer of 2013 dorm room controls, Pent house suite and main mechanical plant were all retrofitted with updated controls for added efficiency and user accessibility.
UIW Fencing Building
Partnering with St. Anthony H.S. and Bexar County, UIW builds a new gym with Olympic Fencing in mind. This facility is a multi use athletic facility for indoor High School sports and Olympic Fencing.
UIW Hillside Dorm
Under construction now is the New Dorm with 123 water source heat pumps, BACnet integration to Energy Recovery Units, Boiler, Cooling Tower and lighting control. Efficiency built into building automation design with efficient features and cost saving equipment sequences. Nothing but the best for UIW students!
Ready for enrollment
New features added for S.A.W.S rebates. Reclamation of condensate water with water usage totalization and validation with our ATOM product brings anticipated YOY savings for UIW.
UIW Eastside Eye and Health Clinic
UIW learning environment with a twist of public healthcare in this facility with Packaged Rooftops and Fan Powered Boxes, Lighting overrides and CO2 control. Partnering with our specialized vendors and preferred subcontractors YATES delivers a comprehensive CCTV solution for UIW security featuring full building coverage, inside and out. YATES proudly offers a variety of building solutions to fit your needs at a competitive price built around your budget.
Ceramic Building Coming Up!
Environmental cooling with humidity control, economizer and building relief provides a controlled and efficient environment for UIW students. Commercial pneumatic air and after dryer provided by YATES for this learning environment to facilitate the latest in tools and technology for UIW students. We utilize our resources to the benefit of our customers and are not limited to building automation components.
Music and Fine Arts Building
New Music and Fine Arts with multiple chillers with BACnet integration, variable air volume air handlers, VAV and fan powered boxes, Texas multi-zone air handler and lighting controls for this new building. Stay tuned for more details!
Auditorium building gets remodeled with mechanical upgrades. Chill water plant from Music and Fine Arts serves this building with three new air handling units. CO2 monitoring for demand vetilation ensures efficiency when the building is not fully occupied and ensures comfort when students fill the "house" with entertainment.
This older building that had lost its controls systems ability to maintain temperature was chosen as a candidate for energy savings retrofit. With multiple chillers, boiler and multiple air handlers, the opportunity to regain control of this building while offering long term savings to the customers energy bill just made sense. This one is under way, check back for more details.
An existing dorm gets a mechanical face lift. New chill water air handling units, chill water and hot water valves. Replacing aged pneumatic controls with Innotech DDC and pulled together with the rest of the campus on eServer web aplication.
Student Engagement Center
This brand new facility hosts the latest in technology from Innotech as we implement the OMNI controllers with the latest in IP over BACnet technology. With integrations to kitchen hoods, ERU's, VFD's and chillers the owner has the most efficient control over their building and energy consumption.
Brooks Medical Ph-I and II
Yates partners with UIW to remodel four buildings to create a medical learning environment for students to excel in the medical field. With specialized classrooms ranging from cadaver rooms to lecture halls Innotech Controls are utilized to meet every sequence called upon for temperature needs and rolled up into one campus wide front-end.
YATES adds Trinity University
We are pleased to announce our success at gaining back a truly great customer in Trinity University. This diverse campus with its unique DDC requirements will be well complimented by our Innotech product. Simple to use BACnet controls will allow for a smooth implementation of prior campus investments.
Hassle free temperature control made easy with Maxim series controllers. Set it and forget it with easy to use and manipulate software and controls for these temperature controlled dorm rooms. Robust for tough environments yet sensitive for tight control.
Bell Center upgrades
Yates Company converts all pneumatics to electronic controls, replacing valves and actuators to DDC on existing equipment. New remodeled areas to be upgraded and refurbished to electronic controls to bring tighter control . More to follow on this energy saving project.
